Living between Europe and the US has some perks... and some drawbacks. For instance, all my books are in the US (and I have a LOT of books). Plus for many sites where I find good deals, the shipping to Europe is outrageous. So, basically, over the last year I've occasionally ordered books when I've found some great deals and had them sent to my address in the US. This means that I got to open ALL of them at once when I got here for Christmas! I also had a friend get me five ARCs of various books, totally as a surprise!!
